Bone Tissue 24x
Bone tissue can be either cortical (compact) or cancellous. Cortical bone usually makes up the interior of the bone, while cancellous bone is usually found in the interior. Cancellous bone has a spongy appearance comprising a network of trabeculae (rod-shaped) fibrous tissue.
This is one of the coolest images I’ve seen in a while. I’m not sure why, but it is fascinating.
